New Music Makers - Matching Grant Program

Congratulations on taking the first step to making more music in your classroom! Our Fall Submission window has closed and although all of our awards have been granted for the 2017, we anticipate opening our Spring Submission window in April 2018, so please check back again soon. We appreciate everything you do to support music in the classroom and we look forward to hearing your story.

The New Music Makers Matching Grant Program from KORG is specifically targeted for schools that want to reinvigorate an existing music program, or want to start one up; this grant opportunity will allow schools to get what they need with a simple online application.

This matching grant opportunity requires only $1,000 from the school for a collection of instruments valued at over $2,000! Think your school is a perfect match? Simply complete the online form by the given deadline and share your story with us.

‘Korg's grant has had a tremendous impact on our school and program. Due to the grant and our new electric keyboard, we were able to have live accompaniment for our chorus concert, which we were not able to do before. It really made a huge difference to us!’

-Luke Manas, York Early College Academy

Music educators often cite funding as one of their biggest obstacles for obtaining music technology for their classroom. At SoundTree, we know how important it is for teachers to find funding for their music technology needs, either through a school district budget, a parent-teacher organization or educational foundation, or seeking funding from some of the many grant opportunities available for technology in schools.  We also know that the time and effort required in the grant writing process can be overwhelming for busy music teachers - and often acts as a deterrent for seeking funds at all.

In addition to our Grant Alert and Finding Funds podcast, we are very proud of a publication that we publish entitled "Finding Funds for Music Technology" by Dr. Thomas Rudolph. This easy-to-read guide to obtaining funding for music technology walks you through the entire process - everything from finding the right grant opportunity to writing a successful grant proposal.  It should be required reading for anyone interested in the grant process.  Visit our online store to purchase a copy.

Sample letters and a funding proposal are included in Finding Funds for Music Technology and are made available by clicking here. These companion files are designed to be personalized to meet individual needs.

Feel free to contact SoundTree at or (800) 963-8733 as you proceed with your funding efforts.
